Lofoten Book Club is an independent literary and social community based in Henningsvær. It began with a simple idea: Books. And people, occasionally.
Our members include people who collect obscure literary fiction and people who haven't finished a book in years. Both are equally welcome, and they usually have more to say to each other than they expected.
We care about curiosity over expertise, conversation over consensus, and taking fiction seriously.
How gatherings work

Pick up the book
We announce each month's book in advance. Read all of it, some of it, or arrive curious.

Come along
Gatherings are informal and small enough that everyone can be heard, or not, if you'd rather listen.

Talk it over
Someone loved it, someone didn't, someone has a theory about chapter nine. That's the point.
